Discovery and Restoration of a Gothic Sacristy
Discovery of a gothic vault, and a romanesque apse foundation.
The auxiliary spaces secondary to the primary function of religious celebrations gradually accumulated partition walls, sanitary fixtures, boiler remnants, and coal bunkers: a century long accumulation of improvised construction. A testament to everything we demolished before commencing the definitive works, which were carried out in accordance with a project that had to be completely rewritten.
