A rehabilitation project supported by public subsidies and carried out over six years of complex management, a process that included changes in the ownership of the properties. The greatest effort was focused on the rear façade, which underwent a complete renovation. This included the incorporation of a metal structure designed to support a series of translucent glass balconies.
New Structure: The primary element of the metal framework is a deep central beam; this beam supports the upper balcony while suspending the lower balcony in tension, thereby freeing the interior courtyard from structural encumbrances and obviating the need for foundations in the vicinity of a cylindrical well of medieval origin.
