Transformation of a building comprising eight residential units and commercial spaces.
E.B.A. in Ansoáin: Architectural Barrier Removal Project. This design and construction project transformed the existing building, facilitating barrier-free access for all its residents.
The scarcity of available floor space—combined with the desire to avoid sacrificing usable living area within the apartments—necessitated the project's expansion into a new public space.
This was achieved through the construction of a new structural element. This structure features a single point of support, which is clearly identifiable as such from the public thoroughfare.
The new stair tower stands completely detached from the original volume of the residential building.
The encroachment upon public space required a specific urban planning permit from the Ansoáin City Council.
