Located on the western façade of the Paseo Anelier in Iruña-Pamplona, our studio occupies a single ground-floor space. It is organized around a timber structure—composed of a series of trusses—that houses the archive and defines the work areas. This structure also supports a movable mezzanine that traverses the space along an East-West axis.
As this design was created for our own use, we were able to exercise a degree of creative freedom rarely found in other projects.
Given our direct connection to the Arga River Park—a tributary of the Ebro River—it is, both metaphorically and technically speaking, possible to access our studio by water.
Perhaps inspired by this connection, we designed an interior featuring wood and textiles; the interior walls, much like sails, can be furled to transform the internal space. The exterior, meanwhile, extends or mirrors the characteristics of the building in which it is situated.
We decided to make the mobility of the mezzanine—which tracks the sun's daily trajectory—along with its structural lightness and nautical aesthetic, the defining and singular feature of the project.
With the arrival of projects from outside Spain, we embarked—as a firm—on a process of internationalizing our services, a step that led us to expand our studio.
